Thank you for taking the time out to read this. My name is Ricardo, a servant of two ravishing children whom I cherish the most. Working 2 jobs one in high fashion & the other just to make ends meet. After a long 13 hour shift working along side Vogue I was on my way to visit my mother. As i got closer to her home i decided to stop at the deli, when entering i bumped shoulders with an irate man. After appologizing i realized he was not finished; He then got into my face. I stepped back to notice him reaching for something. My first instinct was to run but we were too close to eachother. A gun was drawn and i was shot in my side. The bullet lodged in the left side of my lumbar spine L1 and L2 (close to my pelvis). I lost most motor control in both of my legs from the hip down, with a little hip flexion strength on my right side and no sensation in the left leg. The Project Walk treatment facility showed me it is possible to recover. However it is very costly and i couldnt possibly continue without some help. Based on the intensity of the treatment I am required to go multiple times a week and if i do miss my treatments it gets harder when i return. My daughter Elena runs track and it hurts her everyday to see her father montionless in a wheelchair. My son Zymair is so young and energetic i would love to keep up with him again. Treatments are getting expensive and i cannot afford them anymore. I appreciate in advance your kindness and generosity and will keep everyone posted with photos and clips once I'm able to begin treatment again.
