With a view to meet the immediate need of education facilities to the students of ASSRA center in Jharkhand affected by the outbreak of COVID-19 and subsequent closure of schools, we are willing to make the availability of online learning equipment to the 5 centers.
Please donate funds generously for these kids.
Education is one fundamental right which needs to be proclaimed by citizens of all sects, disregarding any form of discrimination. Knowledge when acquired not just brightens your today, but it also opens the doorway to an even brighter future.
To survive amidst the rising pandemic scores, learning must not stop especially for children who would be appearing for their approaching Xth board exams. We are planning to implement education through digital modes by providing the centers with tabs for children of class 9 and 10. Widely Spreading covid infections have restricted the choice of calling students for regular classes at the centers. Providing centers with tabs can compensate for this inability and help fill in the gap between tutors and students in the long run.
13.5-hour time difference, thousands of miles are no challenge for N.J. teen determined to help students in Bihar receive a quality education
Life in central New Jersey is nothing like that in south Bihar, an impoverished state in east India that borders Nepal. Nonetheless, Arushi Aggarwal, a busy sophomore at West Windsor Plainsboro High School South, is passionate about expanding the horizons and improving the lives of young people in the densely-populated India state that recently ranked 19 out of 20 in educational quality.
Arushi, 16, is an active supporter of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals initiative and is currently involved with projects to boost goals 4, 8, and 10. In fact, she founded an international nonprofit organization Unknown16.com dedicated to closing the gender gap in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) as a way to further expand awareness of quality education for all.
In addition to her rigorous academic workload, Arushi makes time each Sunday at 6 a.m. to teach a two-hour class via Skype to young people of varying ages who participate in Lahanti Club, a youth collective located in South Bihar. The Club has created learning centers in villages without schools or operates within government schools where they are available.
Although spirits are high, conditions are far less than ideal. Lahanti Club needs just about everything. That is why Arushi has set up a GoFundMe page to purchase supplies such as tables, chairs, laptops, cameras, books, and more.
