Project Merci

My name is Ray Thomas from McAllen, Texas.  I am a high school senior at Juan Diego Academy. I am hoping to have your help in helping the children of Cameroon, Africa to have a better education. While most of us have nice schools and laptop computers, the schools in Cameroon lack basic supplies and their teachers are paid an average of $50 per month. I went to Cameroon and was inspired to help. We can do this by raising funds to motivate their teachers with incentive pay and by providing basic school supplies. With $1,500 per year, we can change a village. With your generous support, we can help change many villages. Please watch the short video documentary I put together which tells the story of My Two Africas and the creation of Project Merci.

Update: Thanks to your generous donations, and many others that Project Merci has received by checks, I will be traveling back to Cameroon in June 2017 to present the bonus pay to the best performing teachers and school supplies for village schools. This time, however, some of my friends will join me on the mission trip. We will post videos and photos so that all of our supports can share in our mission.

ALL of the donations will be used strictly for teacher pay and school supplies. None of the money will be used for travel or administrative expenses. Our travel money will come from our personal savings and the support of our parents.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
