Project Mama Wayward

On July 15, 2015 Rachel Crawford was admitted into the hospital for excessive bleeding and severe anemia, putting her into the hospital for three days. Her diagnosis was confirmed as very large tumors in her uterus, causing constant bleeding. She received four units of blood during her hospital stay and was confined to bedrest. The scariest moment of this visit was when she experienced a lot of pain and pressure in her uterus and got out of bed which resulted in blood running down her legs and clots as big as baseballs fell to the floor. This situation is dangerous and can be life threatening if it's not taken care of immediately.

The next step in this process to save her life is a major surgery. She will likely have to receive a full hysteretomy. There is no official diagnosis if the tumors are cancerous or not. They will be performing a biopsy during the surgery. This is going to leave her bedridden for quite some time. Right now she is tired all the time. She can hardly walk on most days. She's unable to drive and she's known to fall asleep at random.

All of this was done without health insurance so her medical expense is going to very large. She qualifies for medical assistance but the process is going to be very long and she needs help now. On top of all this stress, she was terminated from her job due to the fact that she cannot return to work for another two months. Unenmployment has not released any funds and by the state of Missouri she does not meet the requirements to qualify for medicaid. Bills are piling up and there are no funds coming through to help her. This is the purpose of this fundraiser. All the proceeds will go to help pay for her medical expenses, food, and supplies she may need to recover from surgery.

Rachel Crawford, aka "Mama Wayward," has been a huge blessing to the Supernatural community. She runs an incredible fan group called "Wayward Winchesters" and she is so sweet to everyone she meets. She has brought so much joy within the fandom with her Anonymous Wayward Project and her stance on a bully free enviroment for the fans. Rachel is also a big Backstreet Boys fan and enjoys listening to their music whenever she feels down and depressed. Aside from being involed in her favorite fandoms, she is also a devoted Christian and takes her faith very seriously. She's been relying heavily on God to get her through this battle. Her faith is what gets her out of bed every morning.

Rachel is a wonderful example of a person who never lets life get her down. When I asked her how did she find the strength to carry on, She said she had three mottos in life: "Always Keep Fighting," "Show Em' What You're Made Of," and "I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me." This is a woman who handles every battle with stride and grace. I admire her greatly.

When she told me all of this I knew something had to be done. I don't feel that this should go ignored. Rachel is the kind of person who puts everyone before herself and that's what makes her so special. However, this time she is in need of assistance herself. She has been such a blessing for everyone around her that I think it's time she's received a blessing herself.

Please share this with everyone you know. If you can spare even a dollar, please donate it. Every dollar counts. If you don't feel comfortable donating money then please take a look at her wish list of items she will need for her recovery after surgery.  http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/27UMF9JLA9F4K/ref=topnav_lists_1

Anything you can do for her would be a great deal of help. Thank you for your support and God bless you!
