What We Stand For:
We are Project Butterfly, named after the famous butterfly effect, a nonprofit club founded by two Carmel Valley Middle School students.

COVID-19 Homeless Relief Fundraising:
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the homeless in San Diego are relocated to the Convention Center. They need basic necessities such as blankets and garments. Although Project Butterfly is hosting a local blanket drive, not everyone who wants to help has blankets ready on-hand. So, we are fundraising online and will be purchasing necessities to donate.

Project Butterfly Mission:
Project Butterfly was founded based on the idea of the "butterfly effect". We believe that every action, no matter how small, can lead to a bigger impact. These changes are what could potentially save someone's life. We believe that everyone, no matter who you are, deserves to get this kind of help. The club members of Project Butterfly always strive to help people in need.

Our Motto:
A small change in either initial conditions can potentially create a significantly different outcome.

Where We Are Taking Place:
California, USA. However, we are not limiting ourselves to California. We help everyone in need.

Meet Our Founders:
Katherine Ge and Ruby Gao, good friend at middle school, took it to their interests to start a non-profit organization. Founded in May, 2019, Project Butterfly has impacted a myriad of people in need.
