Annalisa's Urgent Medical Expenses

**EDIT BY ANNALISA**
Hi everyone...I just want to give a big thank you to my friends and church family who encouraged me to not be sad or embarrassed about reaching out in my time of need and my best friend Kara who wrote such a kind bio for me below <3. I wanted to add some details that help make my needs clear and breakdown the cost a little bit...
I got new insurance through my husbands job in December. The deductible is 2,000. After that is reached I am responsible for 20% of the cost incurred thereafter. I have already had a mammogram and 2 ultrasounds, my bill for those was 800 dollars and my insurance paid only 164. I am scheduled for another mammogram, ultrasound and a biopsy beginning of May, all of which will only be partially covered. I will then be scheduling surgery on my breast, and depending on what the biopsy results are, that will determine the extent of that surgery. I don't yet know if I will require further treatment nor what the cost of that surgery or follow up treatment will be, but will update as that is made known. I have also been told by my neurosurgeon in LA, that I need to receive a brain MRI with contrast immediately as some of the more alarming symptoms I am having are concerning him that I may have regrowth of my brain tumor.  The cost of this is over 5,000, I am told that I will be responsible for 20%.  My insurance has approved me for the test, but the approval expires on 4/20. I left my appointment at Kaweah Imaging center last week, without having the MRI done..I was  in tears when they told me the breakdown of cost, I knew I couldn't spend money my family needed for upcoming bills and rent to pay for this test.  I reached out to Noemi for prayer because I was so heartbroken, feeling caught between doing what was best for me and also knowing that the cost would be putting my family in a bad place.  My husband is doing everything he can to help me get the treatments I need, but I need to ask for your help too. This is not easy for me to do, I wish we could handle this privately and not inconvenience anyone else on our behalf, but I truly feel  like humbling myself and asking for help is the best thing to get myself these tests i need in a timely manner. The thing I keep in mind is that being here to continue to raise my 3 girls, who still need me very much is much more important than anything else. More than anything, I ask for your prayers in this scary time and if you feel touched to pass this along I would be so grateful. Thank you for taking the time to listen. Much love and gratitude, Annalisa.

Meet my best friend, Annalisa! If you don’t already know her, she is one of the most remarkable people you’ll ever meet. Annalisa is a dedicated mother of 3 beautiful girls. She is THE tidiest person I’ve ever met and she bakes like no body’s business. She is an amazing friend, a HUGE animal lover, a proud vegan! She even homeschooled her daughters the majority of their lives!!! Annalisa is kind and strong, so so strong. In 2013, Annalisa met Nick. Nick was the missing piece in that all girl household and God bless him, he loves each one of those girls like his own! Annalisa and Nick were married in November 2018. In order for you to fully grasp this story, I want to give you a quick background. In 2009, when her youngest was 6 months old, Dr’s found a 4.5 cm brain tumor on her brain stem. Annalisa had surgery to remove the tumor. She persevered, so sick and weak and still, she was one of the best mothers I’ve ever seen. It was benign but recovery was tough and it left her deaf in one ear. Up until a little over a year ago, Annalisa has “maintained” her health. Though poor at most times, you wouldn’t know that by being around her. She’s resilient and never quits even though she feel lousy, daily. About 3 weeks ago Annalisa found a lump in her breast. This, accompanied by the other worrisome symptoms she has, made her get to the Dr immediately. After a couple expensive mammograms and ultrasounds, there is some concern but she’s at a stand still. Even with insurance these tests are a ton more money than the small family can afford. At this point, what I’m asking for and praying is that this will be to help with money to pay for these tests. Please, if you are in a position to help, consider doing so. Thank you for taking the time to read this story! I’ll be keeping this updated! -Kara
