From Project 90/10 Founder; Emma-Jane Taylor
Dear friends,
My journey to Project 90/10.
In 2020 I decided to dedicate more of my time to my passion; supporting survivors of child sexual abuse. Through my own personal story, I soon realised how important it was to give back and to encourage those suffering in silence, as I had done many years previously.
My own story was published (2018) in my debut book, Don’t Hold Back, an utterly terrifying yet liberating moment in my life and something I had spent many years of therapy healing from.
My TEDx Talk (below)“It’s not just the strangers we should be careful of” was shared in 2020, this also became the year I began playing around with the idea of starting a charity.
Over the next two years, I worked with some wonderful people who enabled me to think laterally about the charity idea, a round table was formed to bring my concept to life and the name Project 90/10 began to circulate around me.
At the end 2020, I made it a mission of mine to dedicate my life to raising awareness for child sexual abuse and took on 12 monthly challenges between 2021/2022 to do so, even getting on top of a plane in 2022 to do a terrifying (for me) wing-walk, thank you to The Wing-Walk Co for looking after me.
Other challenges included a 100km Jurassic Coast walk where I was joined by my friends Denise Corby, Juliet Cox, and Mark Hampshire. An Isle of Wight Island walk with my friend Imogen Scott, paddle boarding the River Thames with my friends at the Henley Dragons, and also cycling on the River Thames with my friend Juliet, on a specially made bike, thanks to Thames Boat Rental. Thanks also to Ann Burley and Cara Wrightson who bought my local dance community together and organised a 12-hour dance day also.
In 2022 GB News gave me their National Treasure title for the miles I had trekked across the U.K. to raise awareness for child sexual abuse. I was also recognised at the United Nations by Peace Ambassador Kimberley Klezcka, as a woman who makes a difference. I was very humbled by these recognitions.
Finally, in March 2023 Project 90/10 became a registered charity - hoorah! I am not going to lie, I cried when I received an email from the charity commissions to confirm this registration.
And now…..
Our mission at Project 90/10 is to bring about change through education, awareness campaigns and events.
Huge thanks must also go to my wonderful Project 90/10 team Alan, Chris, Daphne, Jamela, Sarah and Christine all dedicated to helping me to bring this concept to life. And to the Project 90/10 trustees, Sarah, Imogen, and Julie.
AND NOW!
We are now working hard behind the scenes to ensure our foundations are strong as we start to work on our educational programmes / safeguarding training. We aim to educate, protect and raise awareness - ultimately to reduce child sexual abuse through knowledge, awareness campaigns and events. Our programmes are developed by working with school leads and experienced CSA/safeguarding therapists.
Like any charity, funding is vital to our development and longevity. Over the next year, we are continuing the development of the work we are doing, including developing our website, short films, social media pages, educational programmes, merchandise, events and much more. Every little we raise helps to do this.
Thank you in advance for your kind donation, support and encouragement for the work we are doing. I have been hugely encouraged by so many since I began this journey.
Our official launch date is 1/5/23. This is a soft launch date, with our main launch event following on 1/5/24 (mark the date in your diaries!)

Thanks for stopping by, that means a lot to us all.
