Birthed out of an act of obedience from the Holy Spirit, Project 4His Glory was created. In this ministry we are dedicated to feeding the homeless by preparing home cooked meals. Not only do we feed our community physically but we also feed them spiritually by sowing a seed of grace, peace and love through Christ. We believe Project 4His Glory provides a sense of hope to those who may feel hopeless and may lack the basic necessities. As an organization, we choose to model the same lifestyle as Christ and be that light in the community and to those we may influence.
Project 4His Glory was founded in November 11, 2013. God spoke a word the President/CEO leading her to cook, package the meals and take the food to the homeless along the streets of downtown Cincinnati. At first thought I had some reservations because it was a tremendous sacrifice for me and my household. Sacrificing her own grocery bill, she bought and cooked, Roasted chicken, baked sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans, a slice of cake and hot chocolate. That night with the assistance of her mother and I packed the meals in the trunk and went to downtown to pass them out. We fed 17 homeless people sleeping on the street.
As of January 19, 2015 Project 4His Glory has fed 1,546 homeless and hungry. Once a month all year around the President still home cooks meals, volunteers help walk the streets of downtown Cincinnati and serve the community. Over the past year, about 300 volunteers have helped and donated their time to this Christ led mission. July 7, 2014 they officially became a Non-Profit Organization recognized by the state of Ohio. The monthly food drives are funded by private monetary and food donations from supporters and the public
This year Project 4His Glory plans to do fundraising events in efforts to obtain their 501-(c)(3). Project also plans to host events outside of strictly feeding the homeless to help in other areas of the community (elders, school aged children, veterans and etc). The ultimate vision of the President-Najah Johnson-Riddle is to build a facility in the heart of downtown Cincinnati the offers assistance of every sort from helping people transition back into society, encouraging purposeful lifestyles and being a extra hand of assistance to those who need it. Project 4His Glory’s vision includes buying property not only around the city but around the nation to provide the same services along with family transitional housing. Ultimately, Project 4His Glory will make the effort to fed people globally and have lasting impact worldwide impact all for the glory of God in Jesus name! The change we want to see must begin in us!
