Hi everyone, we are Saira and Naz, who have decided to start this initiative to raise funds to help with food and medical supplies for those who have been forcibly displaced from their homes.

Food is very scarce due to the current blockade, with the limited supplies prices for produce are extremely higher than normal which makes it very difficult to purchase food, water, wood or to have bread baked. Project Watermelons aim is to provide these essential foods for displaced families as well as providing medication for those who have been injured.

With the current market prices it roughly costs £140 to feed a family for a week. This would depend on how they ration the food but have curated this figure to allow you to donate accordingly. The funds are directly sent and distributed to displaced families so they are able to buy the produce annd medicines available at the market.

You can donate as Sadqa and Zakat. Our initial aim is to reach £2000, with your help and kind donations we can all help make a real difference in such a tough and testing time.
