My name is Trev, and I’m a paramedic.

I’ve spent the last 15 years working in emergency care, 10 of those as a fully qualified paramedic. During that time, I’ve seen how delays — even by a few minutes — can mean the difference between life and death.

Years ago, while I was still a student, I heard people talking about drones being used to deliver defibrillators. It was exciting, full of potential… and then nothing happened.
Fast forward to today, and the same delays still exist. AEDs are locked away in village halls, far from roadsides, fields, and rural homes. In emergencies like cardiac arrest or major blood loss, you need help immediately — not 15 minutes away.

So I decided to act.

This is a personal project. Just a passion to make change happen.

I’ve invested in professional drone training, gaining my GVC and CofC commercial licences. I’ve been in touch with the CAA Innovation Hub, air ambulance teams, NHS leads, SORT/HART teams, and drone manufacturers.
Every step has been off my own back, in my own time.

Now, I need your help to take this further.

What I want to build:
• A drone system capable of delivering AEDs, bleed kits, and emergency medication
• A setup that includes live cameras and two-way communication with trained medical professionals
• A system that can reach scenes faster than an ambulance — especially in rural and hard-to-reach areas
• A drone that can also support in floods, fires, search and rescue, drownings, training exercises, and more

This isn’t about replacing 999 — it’s about supporting it. Giving bystanders, lone responders, or volunteers the ability to act confidently before the ambulance arrives.

What’s possible now — and what’s coming next

At the moment, drone flight is restricted to Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) in the UK.
But even within those limits, this project can provide real, immediate support — helping with on-scene footage, rapid delivery of kit nearby, or training and awareness.

Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operation — where drones can fly further, independently — is on the horizon.
The CAA is already trialling this through projects like Project Lifeline, and with new SORA rules potentially being introduced, we may see huge progress very soon.
This project is designed to grow alongside those permissions, ready to deliver wherever needed as the regulations change.

If this project succeeds, it could save lives. But even if it doesn’t, your support won’t be wasted.

If for any reason we aren’t able to launch fully, the equipment and funds will still be used for community benefit:
• AEDs and bleed kits will be donated to local public access sites
• Any unused or repurposed drones could be offered to emergency service teams
• The remainder may support community responder groups, rural first aid training, or drone-based education and safety

I may continue to use the drones myself in my professional practice — for training, scene assistance, and even support to emergency crews where appropriate — ensuring they are still used for their intended purpose: saving lives.

Why this matters

With vast, remote in places, and has longer response times. Roads flood. Houses are isolated.
Imagine if a drone could fly directly over traffic, hedgerows, or rivers and deliver lifesaving care before the ambulance arrives.

That’s what this is all about.

What your support will help fund:
• A long-range, weather-resistant drone built for emergency work
• AED and emergency kits, specially packaged for drone delivery
• Live-stream and communication systems
• Batteries, chargers, spares, and maintenance
• Insurance, public demo gear, and training resources

Thank you for reading, supporting, and sharing.
This is just the beginning — and with your help, we can prove that one determined paramedic, with the right support, really can make a difference.

Let’s make it fly.
