ProJECT Truth Louisville

proJECT Truth is an anonymous art collective spreading truth through public projection art installations. We illuminate what the government and police wish to keep in the darkness, with our current priority being the human rights crisis of police brutality. As our city reels from the loss of two of our beloved neighbors, Breonna Taylor and David McAtee, we feel it is necessary as artists to use our talents and platforms to demand change. By amplifying these issues onto highly visible buildings throughout Louisville, we send a powerful message to the powers that be. No justice, no peace.

Our goal is to become mobile, so that we can project onto more, and potentially riskier structures. This requires different equipment than we currently own, as well as personal protective gear in case of confrontation with the police (although everything we do will be legal and peaceful--we all know that won't stop them.) Specifically, your contributions will allow us to purchase: a marine battery, inverter, cabling, protective body armor, and custom protective mobile casing for the projector and other equipment, etc.

If you have the means, we would love your help in reaching our goal. All donations will go directly to purchasing gear and equipment, nothing else. 

If we end up raising more than we need, all excess funds will be redirected to BLM related organizations in most need at that time. 

So far, with every night we have projected we have heard both the cheers of protesters seeing their message powerfully amplified onto the city's landscape, as well as the nervous whir of police choppers circling--anxious that their oppressive order will not be restored. Let's keep giving them reason to be anxious. Let's not rest until justice is served and real change is made to this system. Thank you so much for helping us help this movement. #BLACKLIVESMATTER
