The Scientific Coat Initiative for Future Innovators (SCIFI) strives to promote students’ scientific passions for higher education. We provide teachers with the resources necessary for hands-on scientific instruction to encourage mentor-mentee relationships, and establishes a visible community that supports young scientists’ endeavors.
We're proud to announce that this campaign is part of the 2018 Clinton Global Initiative University Commitments Challenge. The team is honored to not only be part of the Clinton Global Initiative at the University of Chicago this year, but to be one of a few select teams chosen to compete for a Resolution Fellowship at the initiative, due to our dedicative focus to make socially responsible change in our community.
Through your support, Project SCIFI hopes to supply 12 more schools over a 12 month period with lab coats decorated with the proud Project SCIFI logo on them, safety goggles, science textbooks, and any other specific equipment these schools might need. Through our 12 for 12 initiative, we expect to provide a hands-on-science education to over 19,000 students at a total cost of only $0.60 per student.
The funds will go entirely towards acquiring and shipping lab supplies such as lab coats, goggles, science textbooks and more. Our 501(c)3 non-profit organization Project SCIFI will manage all the funds towards this goal.
That's countless bright students who can be inspired and educated, opening new doors for their futures. Please find it in your heart during this back to school season to aid these children with your generous support and set them on a path for a brighter future.
