Over the next six months, Veterans Army and the 2 Angry Vets will be fundraising for Project Respite. This initiative is designed to give veterans and their families access to free UK holidays at the first Project Respite location.
Across three major fundraising events, our aim is to raise £50,000. This will allow us to help veterans and their families across the UK to recover, decompress, rebuild, create memories, and most importantly receive something back for absolutely nothing.
The Big Three
March
Ryan will take on the Heroes of Telemark expedition, covering 80km across Norway on cross-country skis while dragging a pulk, despite never having skied before.
April
In partnership with the 2 Angry Vets, we will deliver our version of what St George’s Day should be. Our goal is to host the biggest and best St George’s Day celebration Bolton has ever seen, with everyone welcome to attend.
June
Ryan and the 2 Angry Vets will cycle from Bolton Wanderers Stadium to Ypres in Belgium over five days, stopping at key military locations along the route. There will be surprise guest appearances and meaningful locations revealed throughout the journey. We are also inviting members of the public to ride with us for the first 30 miles.
All funds raised will go directly towards Project Respite and its long-term sustainability. This is about giving back to those who were never asked to give everything for Great Britain, restoring faith where the veterans system has failed, and honouring the blood, sweat, and tears that made their service possible.
