In May of 2023, members of our project, Harmon and Travis, went on a trip to Idaho to explore what was left of the current and old railroad lines in the area. During their trip they came across a 20-ton ML6 Plymouth, left behind a CHS Primeland warehouse on the riverfront, slowly deteriorating. Around a month after its discovery, an agreement was set on the acquisition of the locomotive named “Dave." Then transportation was to be and was found. Harmon and Jack came across Rick Franklin Corporation (RFC) who had equipment and interest to move this little critter. A short time later, a price was set and paid by Harmon, Travis, and their friend Jack. A week later a truck from RFC and Harmon drove out and picked up Dave. Driving it to the Rick Franklin Corporation in Lebanon, OR. where it was worked on for a few times a year, it is now moved to Independence, OR. to be worked on there. Harmon, Travis, Jack and Zach with the help of guests and parents of course are consistently working on this locomotive. It is asked for a generous donation to this GoFundMe page for restoring this locomotive back to working condition. A place to have it operational when fully restored is still in the workings.
