Build a Playground for an Orphanage

We are Michaela and Kalina and together we are on a mission to build a new playground at an orphanage for children in our home town of Sliven, Bulgaria.

With your help in the Summer of 2018 we will install a brand-new playground with a set of swings, a slide, two spring riders, a double spring swing, a combination equipment play unit, and a carousel. The playground will be also equipped with a shock-absorbing ground material to reduce the risks of injury.

Currently there are 45 children residing in the orphanage, all between the ages of 0-3 yo. They are in dire need of a new playground as the existing one is unsafe and beyond repair. It is over 25 years old and well past its expiration. The only recent renovation made was when the equipment was repainted by local volunteers.

The new playground will provide space that promotes social interaction, and help each child grow both mentally and physically.

Perhaps this is one of the most important aspects of a child's development. While we know this doesn't solve every problem, we hope to bring some joy to these children's lives, as they wait to be adopted by their new families.

Over the past few years we have made personal donations to help cover costs for medicine,
diapers, formula, and toys. We would like to continue our support for this home, however our goal this time is much bigger and requires a larger amount to be completed.

We would be very grateful if you are able to join us in this charity project with a donation of any size, small or large.

The total cost for building the playground is estimated at $12,000, which will cover all of the equipment cost, the shock-absorbing ground material, delivery, installation, and a concrete layered foundation over which the shock-absorbing ground tiles will be installed (we have also factored the GoFundMe fees which are being charged per donation and for the total amount collected).

http://impresia.net/?lang=en. They have given us the estimate along with a visual of what the new playground will look like. Once we gather all the necessary funds, the project will take around 30 days to be completed. We hope to have the playground ready by June 1st - National Children’s day.

Ние сме Михаела и Калина и заедно решихме да построим чисто нова площадка в Дома за Медико-Социални Грижи за Деца (ДМСГД) в родния ни град Сливен.

С ваша помощ през лятото на 2018 год. ще инсталираме площадката, която ще включва две люлки, пързалка, две катерушки, две клатушки и комбинирано съоръжение. Цялата площадка ще е с гумена настилка, за предотвратяване на сериозни наранявания.

В дома са настанени около 45 деца от 0 до 3 годишна възраст. Домът има огромна нужда от нова площадка за игра, тъй като съоръженията, които са там в момента са много стари и ненадеждни.

Благодарение на новата площадка, децата ще имат възможно да играят, да упражняват физическите си възможности и най-вече да се забавляват. Въпреки, че новата площадка няма да реши всичките им проблеми, то поне ще ги развесели, ще им помогне да се чувстват като деца през времето, в което очакват да намерят новото си семейство.

През последните няколко години сме правили лични дарения към този дом, с които имахме възможност да закупим витамини, играчки, дрешки и т.н. Имаме огромното желание да продължим да помагаме на този дом, но този път идеята ни е много по-голяма и изисква по-сериозна сума.

От нас и името на децата ще сме ви много благодарни, ако имате възможност да се включите в кампанията и да дарите сума в какъвто и да е размер. Всяко дарение е от значение.

Сумата нужна за изграждане на площадката е около 12,000 долара. В нея са включени всички разноски по построяването като съоръжения, гумена настилка, изливане на бетонна плоча като основа, доставка, инсталиране и ДДС. Ако накрая останат средства ще закупим витамини, играчки или от каквото друго се нуждаят децата в този момент. Дарението става изцяло през интернет – с дебитна или кредитна карта.

Nous sommes Michaela et Kalina et ensemble, nous avons décidé de construire une toute nouvelle aire de jeux à la Maison de soins médico-sociaux pour enfants orphelins ou abandonnés (MSMSE) dans notre ville natale de Sliven, Bulgarie.

Avec votre aide, ce printemps 2018, nous installerons le site, qui comprendra deux balançoires, un toboggan, deux jeux pour grimper, deux jeux à ressort et une installation combinée. L'ensemble du site aura un revêtement de sol en caoutchouc pour éviter les blessures graves.

Environ 45 enfants de 0 à 3 ans sont hébergés à la Maison de soins médico-sociaux pour enfants. Parfois même plus âgés, allant jusqu’à 4-5 ans selon leur état de santé. La Maison de soins médico-sociaux pour enfants a un énorme besoin d'une nouvelle aire de jeux car les installations qui y sont très vétustes, très peu sécurisés et donc très peu fiables.

Grâce à cette nouvelle aire de jeux, les enfants pourront jouer, développer leurs habiletés physiques et surtout s'amuser. Bien que le nouveau terrain de jeux ne résoudra pas tous leurs problèmes, au moins il les encouragera, les aidera à se sentir comme des enfants pendant le temps où ils s'attendent à trouver leur nouvelle famille.

Au cours des dernières années, nous avons fait des dons personnels à cette Maison de soins médico-sociaux pour enfants, pour laquelle nous avons pu acheter des vitamines, des jouets, des vêtements, etc. Et nous avons l'énorme désir de continuer à aider cette Maison de soins médico-sociaux pour enfants, mais cette fois-ci, notre idée est d’une ampleur beaucoup plus grande et nécessite un soutien beaucoup plus important.
Au nom des enfants, nous vous serons très reconnaissants si vous avez la possibilité de vous joindre à cette campagne et de faire un don d'une somme de toute taille. Pour atteindre l’objectif défini, chaque don est important.
Le montant nécessaire pour construire le site est d'environ 10 000 €/12 000 $. Il comprend tous les coûts de construction tels que les installations, les revêtements de sol en caoutchouc, la chaussée en béton comme fondation, la livraison, l'installation et la TVA. Si nous obtenons plus que la somme prévue, nous achèterons des vitamines, des jouets ou tout ce dont les enfants ont besoin à ce stade.
