Project Paws - dog rescue fundraiser

As a fellow lover of our furry companions, we are reaching out to introduce you to our passion - or paw-ssion - project: PROJECT PAWS, our dog rescue fundraiser.

In a world where countless pets face neglect, abuse, and abandonment, our fundraising drive strives to be a beacon of hope. We believe that every pet deserves a chance at a loving and nurturing home, regardless of their past circumstances. Working to support the organizations who rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome these sentient creatures, helps offer deserving dogs a second chance at life.

The immediate reaction to 2020’s stay-at-home orders due to the pandemic saw a surge in animals being rescued and finding homes, and animal shelters left virtually empty! Yet today, as communities begin to navigate the post-pandemic landscape and people return to work and their daily routines, we are facing a new wave of challenges.

Many dogs who found temporary refuge in our shelters, and subsequent families, are now being surrendered once again, as families struggle to readjust to their pre-pandemic lives. This, in addition to the recent inflationary climate, has made it difficult for some families to keep their furry family member. The surge in rescue intake has placed a tremendous strain on resources and highlighted the urgent need for support.

Our mission is to support those who do the most important work: to save, shelter, love, care, and provide a second chance to as many dogs in need as possible.

But they cannot do it alone.

So we have stepped up to amplify their voices. We need your help now more than ever to continue their life saving work and ensure that no dog is left behind.

That's why we've set a big, hairy, audacious goal: to raise $50,000 by the end of 2025. This ambitious target will allow rescues to reach more dogs in need, and provide the highest level of care possible.

Your contribution, whether it's a one-time donation, through goods or services in kind, or through a sponsorship, can make a world of difference in the lives of these deserving animals. Your generosity will enable rescues to provide essential veterinary care, behavioural training, and emotional support to each dog in care, ensuring they have the best possible chance at finding their ‘fur’-ever home.
