Project no.5: Help The Less Fortunate

Asalamu'Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,  This project is zakat applicable, there is a 100% donation policy going to those who need it the most, any % taken from donations by this website will be made up by me personally. The extra expenses (plastic bags, delivery trucks etc) will be covered by my father so that each and every penny donated will be going towards food packages and feeding those who cannot afford to feed themselves & their families. The Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ) is reported to have said, “Charity does not decrease wealth.” [Muslim] Giving charity actually multiplies wealth and benefits both the giver and the given. It is nearly the month of Ramadan, and it is the best time to give to those who are less fortunate than us. Alhamdulillah for the food on our tables, but there are millions of individuals who go without every single day. It is our duty to use any means we have to help the less privileged, which is why I have organised this fundraiser. I am raising money for the people of Bangladesh for the FIFTH time in a row. My father is there right now to personally oversee the donations and manage them. I am grateful that so many people have entrusted me to distribute their donations and I have been doing so with complete honesty and integrity for the past 5 years. I have been fundraising for the poorest villages in Bangladesh since 2020. My first fundraiser raised a total of £3k and we were able to distribute 200+ food packages and distribute blankets for the homeless during the night. The second fundraiser raised a total of £10,500. The third, £6.4k, Alhamdulillah. A recent food package distribution was completed for the upcoming month of Ramadan so that individuals have enough food to break their fast with. With this amount of money, we were able to do multiple large food distributions (including one on a boat during the floods in Bangladesh) and 20 water wells, with more blanket distributions. I will add pictures below. Each food package contains: rice, lentils, oil, potatoes, dates, chickpeas and onions. This Ramadan we would like raise enough money to distribute many more food packages in Bangladesh as I have seen with my own eyes how they can help very big families for a long duration and they need it now more than ever, those who don’t have access to food do not have anything to break their fasts with.  “He is not a believer who fills his stomach while his neighbour goes hungry.” (Bukhari) By Allah ANY donation, as little or as much it may be, will help us reach our goal.   May Allah reward you all for sharing and donating in advance, May Allah accept your donations, fasts and du’as during this blessed month.
