Hello, we are a non for profit group called Lasalle County Street Cars. We have done many things with our group to give back to the community. We have chosen as a group that to take on a task and we will make it happen but with the help outside the Group feel we can get this done much quicker.
One of our members that has touched many of our hearts over the last 8 months with photos and stories showing the progress him and his sons were making on their 1968 mustang. If your a car person or even if your not, if you seen these posts with father and son bond it would melt your hearts. The other day I received a phone call that u never want to here. Joe Dresbach and his son Dawson were driving to O’reillys in Ottawa to pick up some parts for the mustang and while driving Joe Dresbach had a heat attack. Dawson had to slam the stuck in park and he possibly saved other lives by doing this. In our eyes Dawson is a hero. He is a 14 year old boy and with quick thinking was able to stop the truck and get help, but unfortunately Joe passed away from a heart attack at the age 47 leaving Dawson and Aj his two boys and wife Lisa behind. This is such a heartbreaking tragedy. Dominick and I decided that our group would utilize its members and finish this car for the family. We know it’s a big task, prolly the biggest yet and this is why we are reaching out past just our group for financial support. We are going to get with the boys and finish this project. We are going to do it as Joe and the boys dreamed it to be. We have many members of the group wanting to join in on the labor part of the project but we will need help financially to make it a car they will be able to cherish and enjoy for years to come. We will never be able to fill the void of Joe not being here but every time they turn that key he will be looking down with a huge smile on his face!!
