My name's Eden and I'm a trans woman living in the UK. I've reached a point in my transition where I'd like to pursue FFS (facial feminisation surgery) to help with internal dysphoria and with passing in public as we all stare down the barrel of a potential far-right government in the coming years. Unfortunately, FFS isn't available on the NHS and private options within the UK are prohibitively expensive. I recently had a consultation with FacialTeam, an FFS provider based in Spain who are renowned internationally for their results and for the standard of care patients receive.

While this is generally considered a more affordable option than private care available in the UK, even for the comparatively minimal interventions I need (forehead reconstruction, rhinoplasty), the quoted costs are considerable - around £20,000. While myself and my boyfriend are saving towards this goal, I am aware that it will be years before I'm financially able to go ahead.

That's where you come in. I find asking for money, especially for such a personal need, very difficult so needless to say I'll keep this short - anything you can give, no matter how small, means so much. This surgery will make my life so so much easier, and I don't see myself being able to afford it within any reasonable amount of time without donations (or maybe, winning the lottery).
