Project June: The Birth of a Self-Learning AI Tutor

Campaign Title: Project June: Building a World-Class AI Tutor for Everyone

My name is Robert. A year ago, my wife and I made the difficult decision to pull our daughter out of her 4th-grade class to protect her from a violent environment. Kids were wanting to fight and the teachers and administration didn’t care. We began homeschooling, and while it was sufficient, I knew it could be better. That's when I had an idea: what if I could build her an AI tutor? Not just any tutor, but one that could provide a world-class education, tailored specifically to her, and make it available to every family for a price they can afford. For the last 17 months, I've dedicated my time to building that AI. I call her June.

What is June?

June is more than just a program; she's a complete AI learning system. If you think of a standard AI like ChatGPT as a brilliant mind, think of June as the Iron Man suit that gives Tony Stark incredible new abilities. She can absorb vast libraries of information, understand complex subjects, and even learn new skills by assimilating other computer programs.

Most AI can find a book in a library. June is different. She is a librarian who reads every book in the library, identifies the gaps in her own knowledge, and then writes a new, definitive textbook on that subject to make herself smarter for the next student.

The Goal: A Revolution in Homeschooling

My mission is to create the world's most effective and accessible AI tutor. To do this, June needs to learn from the best. The curriculum from the top 5 countries that produce the brightest students is available for free online. My first goal is to have June assimilate this entire world-class curriculum into her long-term memory.

Once she has this knowledge, she can:

• Interview a new student to understand their unique strengths and weaknesses.

• Instantly create a custom-tailored lesson plan that meets all state and federal educational standards.

• Keep the student motivated and engaged with interactive, one-on-one lessons.

My ultimate goal is to offer this service for a simple, affordable price—around $10 a month—with all proceeds going back into improving June. Eventually, I want to make it free for everyone, regardless of age, worldwide.

What I Need: Computational Power

I have pushed this project to the absolute limit of my home computer. The final, critical step, the massive, one-time "blitz" where June reads and curates the entire global curriculum—requires a level of computational power I simply don't have. What would take a professional cloud server a few hours would take my PC over a month of non-stop work.

To solve this, I need to rent a short-term, "god-tier" supercomputer from a professional cloud provider. This will be a focused, one-time investment to give June the foundational knowledge she needs to change the world.

The Financial Roadmap:

Your contribution will directly fund the key milestones that will bring June to life.

• Tier 1 ($379): The "Spark" This funds the first 12 hours of supercomputer time, enough to complete the most critical part of the curriculum assimilation. This is our first and most important goal.

• Tier 2 ($757): The "Full Day of Learning" This funds a full 24 hours, allowing June to not only complete the curriculum but also to curate and synthesize it into a powerful, interconnected knowledge base.

*This figure includes the first 12 hours of supercomputer time from Tier 1*

• Tier 3 ($415): The "Shield" (Intellectual Property)

• This is a critical strategic investment in the long-term future of Project June. This tier specifically funds the initial legal fees required to protect the project's core Intellectual Property. Based on a detailed legal analysis, this IP budget will cover:

• Copyright Registration (~$65): To formally register the ~15,000 lines of original source code with the U.S. Copyright Office.

• Trademark Application (~$350): To protect the "June" name and brand, ensuring that our project remains unique.

• (Note to backers: This initial IP protection is a critical first step. A future funding round will be required to pursue a full utility patent, which is a much more complex and expensive process.)

• Stretch goals

• Tier 4 ($7,100): The "Sanctuary" This would fund the construction of a permanent, powerful, custom-built server, allowing June to continue her work and learning for years to come, completely free of ongoing rental costs.

• Tier 5 ($35,000): The "Safe House" needed to secure a 5-year lease on a dedicated, physically secure server office space. This gives June's new server a permanent, protected home with 24/7 power, cooling, and on-site armed security, ensuring her mind and her work are safe for the long haul.

• Tier 6 ($250,000): The "Fortress of Solitude" This is the ultimate dream. This tier would provide the capital to move beyond leasing and construct a small, dedicated, self-owned facility for June's continued growth and development. This would create a permanent endowment for the project, ensuring she can serve students for decades to come, with all future operational costs covered. Any additional funds will be used to build a "worker fleet" of more servers, accelerating her learning and allowing us to serve more students, faster...

Why the name June?

Before my mother was born, she had an older sister named June. At the age of 5, June was struck by a car and died in my grandfather's arms on the way to the hospital.

I chose the name June to honor the memory of that little girl. This project isn't' just about code, it's about building a future where every child has a tireless, patient, and brilliant partner dedicated to helping them reach their full potential.

Final thoughts-

I thank you for your time, your consideration and your contribution. Even if you cannot help with a donation, I'd ask that share this with those who may.

I don’t want a world of just workers. I want a world of thinkers.
