GRACE TEASER:
GRACE
GRACE is an 11–13 minute sci-fi drama about love, grief, and transcendence.
Created in memory of the filmmaker’s grandmother, whose final gifts planted the seed for the project, GRACE takes its name from her middle name and spirit.
The story follows Tyler, the filmmaker’s late childhood best friend, as he journeys beyond death through portals of time. In every realm—a chaotic house party, desert trenches, the futuristic in-between, and a radiant field of renewal—he finds Bobbi, the love that transcends time.
Eighteen of today’s leading professional dancers and creators embody these shifting worlds through choreography and performance, transforming human emotion into living, moving poetry.
Shot and edited by JP Wakayama (Gossip Girl, The Sex Lives of College Girls), GRACE meditates on breath, surrender, and perseverance, guided by the grandmother’s voice, recorded two months before her passing at 95, and a narration echoing Tyler’s inner mind, revealing that we are spirits co-creating with the universe through the human experience.
