Project CURE: Kiribati Medical Supplies (pt. 1)

Donation protected
Mauri! We are Stephen Sheffield and Kaleb Barker. We're medical students that are raising money to send a shipping container of vital medical resources to the Tungaru Central Hospital in Nawerewere, Kiribati. Kiribati is a beautiful island nation in the central Pacific that is home to 130,000 people. We grew to love the people and culture of Kiribati during our time there as missionaries for the LDS church. Now, years later, we are doing our best to give back to the Kiribati communities that welcomed us so generously. We are sure many of you can relate.

We are working with Project C.U.R.E., an internationally recognized top-ranked charity, to send the supplies. They do an incredible job; over a billion dollars of supplies has been donated to over 135 countries since 2000. We are excited for the opportunity to work with them!

This round of fundraising is for a needs assessment trip, where Project C.U.R.E (a professional - not one of us) will visit the hospital in person to accurately assess its primary needs and infrastructure. After this assessment trip, we will fundraise again to cover the shipping and customs fees.

Please consider donating to facilitate getting these supplies to Kiribati. Every dollar counts!
