Created by Amaira Agrawal and Maggie Miao, Project ClearSight is on a mission to change lives, one surgery at a time. In India, cataract blindness is preventable, yet it affects millions. Our project provides funding for sight-restoring cataract surgeries for those who need them most in India. We also work to “clear sight” on issues regarding poverty and healthcare access in the country and encourage others to remain educated regarding these gaps. By combining action and awareness, Project ClearSight doesn’t just restore vision, we help build a brighter future.
Each surgery costs $50 and our goal is to fund at least 40-50.
****All donations will first be received into our family’s U.S. bank account and then transferred, in full after standard processing fees, to the Rotary Club of Bombay Queen City Foundation in India to support cataract surgeries for people in need. We are facilitating the transfer because GoFundMe does not directly send funds to international charitable organizations. We will not retain any portion of the funds for personal use and can share proof of donation if needed. Please note that donations made here are not tax-deductible in the United States.***
