Project Aspen Service Dog

My name is Luke. I have a disability that I've been struggling with for many years. I have medical symptoms that allows me to qualify for a highly trained Service Dog. There is an accredited agency here in Edmonton. Alberta, Aspen

Services Dogs, who is willing to work with me towards this goal. Aspen provides certified, government-approved PTSD Service Dogs. I don't qualify to receive any funding from an Agency such as United Way or The Lions Club so I have to raise funds on my own. That's why I need your help.

I will rely on my Service Dog for various needs:

* The Service Dog helps to calm and support me when I am experiencing a lot of

medical symptoms. and emotional distress

* I will need a fully-trained government- approved Service Dog to help move towards my total independence.

* The Service Dog will remind me to do things that are important for my well-being such as feeling protected and loved.

* The Service Dog will also alert me to any emergency, such as smoke alarms in the middle of the night.

A service dog will help with my disability by waking me up for school and work. The dog will help with tasks like, medications reminders, and help me cope with my illness. Some of symptoms the service dog can help me with are distractions, help with nightmares and to help me start to feel better about myself and the world.

This service dog will benefit me by lowering the risk of relapse which can be caused by my mental illness.

The first phase of my goal is $10,000 towards my Aspen Service Dog Project.
