Corona Virus has hit our immigrant and low-income population hardest. With your help we can give quality Evidence-Based treatments (not drugs) to people with injuries/pain who have difficulty working.
THE GOAL: to increase quality of life and give these families a fighting chance to get back on their feet… so they can work/provide for their loved ones during the most stressful economic time in modern American history.
Hi, I'm Dr. Shervin Parvini DC . I'm a husband, dad and Bay Area resident. I got tired of watching hard-working families suffer needlessly... so I decided to do something about it.
WHERE I'M FROM:
I'm from Mountain View, California. I come from loving parents, supportive friends, struggles, success and more struggles, offbeat 90’s Gen-X culture, a phenomenal medical community, a tradition of service and the tough love of my wife and kids.
FOR ME, IT'S PERSONAL:
I’ve been working with Low-income and immigrant people for years. My parents immigrated to the States to escape religious persecution so for me, I'll admit it’s personal. These low-income communities are the backbone or our community and the relationships I’ve built while working with them are among the most rewarding in my life. These are wonderful people!
HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE SPENT:
100% of the funds are being used to treat families whose main "breadwinner" is having difficulty working due to injuries and disabilities. We can treat them, and they can work to support their own family.
MY FAVORITE MOMENT:
When my low-income patient looks at me... her eyes just got big... she's emotional... she just realized that her back/neck pain is gone... and now she can work... she can support her family. That's why I do this.
I help people live pain free. It is my life's work and I love it. I help my community, friends and family. I teach, I give lectures and I take the patients that other doctors give endless drugs. I give low-income families quality treatments for 25% of what other medical groups charge. Within 1-4 weeks, they can go back to work and provide a decent life for their kids! That’s why I do this.
You see when someone is suffering from a pain-based disability their whole families suffer. Economically, emotionally, socially and their ability to work and provide for their family disappears.
You see, years of pain turns into anxiety, depression and hopelessness. The entire opioid epidemic thrived on the desperation of folks struggling to live with the chronic pain from an old injury. In my experience people do the best when they’re given an opportunity to fight and to provide for their families. People who suffer from pain don’t need drugs, pep talks or even self-help books. They need quality treatment.
THE WHY:
These are mom’s and dad’s who can’t rock their children to sleep without piercing pain. Who winces while delivering necessary essentials to the rest of us during this unprecedented time. We live in a time when most of these ailments can be eliminated through medical advances and basic treatment but access to this level of care only gets to those who can afford it, instead of those who really need it.
For people with little money... treatment (for multiple injuries) is considered a luxury service. This is ridiculous. These are hard-working families who deserve necessary treatment, not just “Emergency Room Care”. People should be allowed medical service beyond what’s necessary to keep you breathing. They deserve pain free, non-addictive quality of life.
MY TIME CRUNCH:
We launched Project Apollo to treat hard-working, immigrant and low-income populations whose neck, shoulder, and back pain impede them from actively contributing to their family and community.
With the stress of the Corona Virus crises people are suffering now more than ever. We’ve already paid for the equipment. We have the staff, and doctors (Dr. Lynnard Cabanas, DC and Dr. Ayushi Sinha, DC) to serve these worthwhile communities. We are doing the work at cost, no administrative fees, 100% of the funds go directly to the daily operating costs.
We will run out of funding by June 30, 2020. We need $120,000 so we can continue our work… and then those people can provide for their 150 families.
We can do this. We invite you to help us in this vital mission. Thank you!
Dr. Shervin Parvini DC
