Project 90-10

Project 90/10 is a charity being set up solely focused on giving young people and parents the right tools through education, raising awareness & sharing knowledge on the subject of Child Sexual Abuse, and what needs to be done to reduce this heinous crime. The work being done by the 90/10 team ensures young people and the generations to follow are armed with the necessary skills in life to ensure a positive change in the statistics around this horrendous topic.

Project 90/10 is a powerful mission and a vehicle for influential attitude and action change through education and awareness campaigns in the area of sexual abuse. Their mission is not only to offer clear protection, support, and solution to children and parents who have already suffered but key education and innovative awareness to current demographics and other important sectors of society ensuring prevention rather than cure. In an ever quickly changing world the team at Project 90/10 are wholly committed to change the way this pivotal issue is averted, healed, treated, and supported.

With a very skilled team, influential partners and collaborations giving continuous and prestigious support to 90/10 in its drive towards change, this worthwhile mission to protect, support and avert further suffering towards our children and the vulnerable in our society is gathering momentum for real positive change.

- Have you ever empowered your child to be able to say NO to an adult they knew?

- Have you ever stopped to ask your child what THEY would do if an adult they knew asked them to keep a SECRET?

- Are you confident knowing that wherever your child is they are armed with knowledge and a language that would PROTECT them?

- Are you carrying a secret that is untold that you need to heal from?

Project 90/10 Founder Emma Jane Taylor recently shared her TEDx Talk , 'It's not just the strangers we should be careful of'', to create an important and much needed conversation on the subject of child sex abuse. Her TEDx talk has now been viewed by many around the world and can be found on You Tube. As a survivor herself Emma-Jane is not afraid to have uncomfortable conversations, lift dark rocks and find out more if it leads to positive change. She says "I know how lonely, sad and frightening it can be growing up and my dream is always for children to sleep at night without fear, nightmares and trauma. Children need to be children. They need to be nurtured, loved and listened to. They need to know how to navigate inappropriate behaviour”. Her second book is currently being written; she has spoken to 1000's of people from survivors, charities, support groups, prison officers, medical teams and sex offenders to gain knowledge - these conversations and this research are key to the change that is needed. Project 90/10 looks deeper into the sinister behaviour of offenders and the importance of knowing more about the whole picture to stop the crime by collaborating with sex offender support groups and advisory boards of sexual offenders. Emma-Jane recently joined the Circles South East advisory board.

Emma-Jane has started to visit schools in 2021, and the feedback has been very powerful: 'The presentation and talk had a positive impact on the teachers and made them understand that we are not only stopping children from becoming victims but also stopping them becoming perpetrators. The talk has helped us plan PSHE lessons to focus on healthy, positive relationships online and real life. '
