Project 50: Theodor

Donation protected
I turn 50 soon, in March of this year.
How that’s happened is unclear.

I gave my mind far too much attention as a younger man, and it’s only now, as I get older, that I’m able to get it to heal, to shut up, not give it such importance.

For the truth is, the heart is what really counts, and in this we carry the relationships we have, those we love, through our lives.

Before we turn to dust, there is nothing else of any real significance beyond what we feel for others in our hearts.

And it’s in this spirit that I say, please, no gifts for my 50th, I don’t need any, I’m happy.

What I’d most appreciate and cherish is a donation, so we can do two things for Theodor right now.

Disability can make life complicated for Theodor, and take away the joy, and we want him to have less complication and more joy.

He loves camping at Crops not Shops in Glastonbury, and also loves swimming.

But Theo needs help with both of these things, because he’s in a wheelchair.

He needs an accessible toilet when hanging out with soul mates in Glastonbury, and a hoist to get in and out of the pool.

Disability’s not cheap, and it’s about making sure he can do what he loves, and what the rest of us often take for granted.

Hugs, love and gratitude, Nick
