Professor Sweet Potato joined our family  in February 2020. In March my husband and the father of my kids died, 24 hours before the stay at home order went in to place. Through our grief and fear of the pandemic, Potato has been a source of absolute joy for my kids and me. He’s gotten us through some dark times. He’s the sweetest , silliest boy. 

Last night and started shaking nonstop and was not able to stand up. I took him tothe emergency vet and after preliminary blood work the vet thinks he has a liver shunt or a kidney disorder or endocrine disorder. He’s dangerously anemic and his kidney and liver functions are very abnormal. I’m already $2k in and was just quoted another $2k in diagnostics to figure out how to treat him. And that does not address the cost of any treatments.  

This comes down to one thing: I cannot let my kids loose their puppy 5 months after losing their dad in a pandemic. I can’t. I also cannot afford this at all. If you can help or share, I will be forever grateful
