My Friend's Dog Needs Surgery

My best friends dog needs help! His name is Taka, a Shiba Inu, and he is the light of my friends' life. Earlier this week, he went into a mutual acquaintance of ours backyard briefly and stepped on something, causing him to yelp. 

Although nothing was visible, he immediately showed signs of not wanting to be touched and tended to his hurt paw. Only today, after days of it starting to swell, she finds out that due to the incident, he now has a ruptured ligament that is causing him to limp. 

He now needs surgery. 

It's 5,000.00, money my friend does not have, at least not in this instance and not anytime soon. She's worried that the longer she prolongs the surgery the worse his pain will get and the worse his leg will be and will cause long term issues for Taka. My friend, Valerie, works full-time and then some. Even as overworked as she is, it's not enough to pay for his surgery.  She is the only one who takes care of Taka in regards to check ups, food, whatever he needs. It's emergencies like this that just come up unexpectedly and you have no idea what to do.

Anyone who has  a pet or have pets fully understand the frustrating and tediousness of how much vet bills can be and how much they really just overcharge the individual. Money should never be the issue when it comes to a person's pet who's in pain, but this is sadly how the world is and it's really unfortunate and I just wanna do my best to help. 

Taka is a good boi. He is so loving and cute and hilarious and anyone who has come across him has instantly fallen in love. 

Anything helps, honestly. The sooner the better for Taka's sake, but any donation or even spreading the word out will be greatly and forever appreciated. ❤️
