Hello—My name is Donna Duke-Koelfgen and I am an Assistant Professor of English at San Antonio College, and a widow.  I also have nonHodgkin’s lymphoma.  Fall semester, 2020, I developed a large lump on my throat.  I needed emergency surgery and spent a week in ICU.  I need assistance paying off medical bills not covered by insurance. A legal wrangle with my employer has also put me in the situation where I need funds to retain an attorney.  I know it’s difficult for others to give during a global pandemic, and I am grateful to be alive and have a job I love, but your act of kindness could go a long way in easing the burdens I am carrying all by myself.
