Prof. Chemeda Fininsa's Medical Expenses

Dear Friends and Family of Professor Chemeda Fininsa,
As you may know, Professor Chemeda is a seasoned professor of Pathology at Haramaya University. He served as the 6th President of Haramaya University and also as the Vice President for several years. He has served the university in many other capacities including as the dean of Graduate Studies for several years. He also led several international research projects at the University. Recently, he completed the Fulbright research fellowship at Purdue University, USA, and had similar prior appointments at Humboldt University, Germany.
Professor Chemeda kept the standard of his work very high and his leadership among the best despite his challenges healthwise. Recently, his health deteriorated and had to be hospitalized with an initial diagnosis of pancreatitis. His health condition further deteriorated and he was placed on mechanical ventilation due to extension of the effects of pancreatitis to his lung and other vital organs. He was later airlifted to Addis Ababa and is currently undergoing treatment in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
His family now is at a dire need of financial resources to cover his medical expenses at Halleluyah Hospital in Addis Ababa and potential arrangements for treatment abroad. We are therefore sharing this link to you as a close friend, co-worker, fellow academician, and researcher to raise the funds required to support him personally and his family.
