PRODUCER CREDIT OP with TONY WINNER Debbie Green

Donation protected

Friends, Family, lend me your ear(s)!

Zach Green here with a WILD RIP-ROARIN' proposition for you all. <3

As some of you may have heard through the grape vine or via my wonderful TONY AWARD WINNING MOMducer, CocoBGreen, alongside myself and my other absolute VIProducers, Chris Mattson, and even the wise and cunning Tom Green (my father, not the comedian), I am in the final stages of prep on my very own feature film, FOIL: A Buddy Sci Fi Comedy, which I co-wrote, am directing, and co-starring in! And, I'm sure you're SHOCKED to hear that as a result, I am in dire need of friendly funds and donations from any corner of my life that I can muster! Of course, we have plans to do a more broad and general KickStarter when we enter post production to get us through that stage, give a buck here, get a buck there kinda thing, all friends and colleagues welcome, but the fact of the matter is that we frankly need some slightly heavier hitters to jump in at this stage of prepro to get us through production and to that point. So that is why I put this very private, very EXCLUSIVE gofundme together, to extend this opp to each and every one of you, to join us at the Producer's Table, and help make a filmmaker's dream come true! NO PRESSURE.

Now, you may be wondering, what in tarnation even IS this film? Well, you'll see that in the email we've sent along with this gofundme link, I have attached a sleek little "Pitch Deck" that explains just that! The synopsis, 'mood boards', cast and crew bios, and the like. In case you're not able to access it at this time, though, here's a very brief overview of what we're looking at:

Log Line: Two long lost friends skip their 10 year High School Reunion and set out into the desert for the weekend where they encounter two long time residents who change their course...

Tonally, think something like Sideways or Romy and Michele's High School Reunion meets the weirdo sci-fi of John Carpenter's They Live, with a heavy dose of Duplass DIY and Coen Brothers sense of humor, and you've nailed it.

This film is the second project coming from myself and co-writer/co-star, editor, and fellow Texan, Devin O'Rourke. Just before the shutdown we made a much simpler short together that saw some festival success, including an award for Best Comedy Short, which you can watch here:

Zach and Devin's Short- Right On

We figured, that was so fun and rewarding, and we did it in one day with zero budget! Heck, why not try and make something that's the "real deal". And here we are.

Now, with about a month left before we're officially out there shooting, we've gotten a lot done already. We've cast some incredible co-stars (fellow Ex-Austinites Chris Doubek , whom I worked with on Bryan Poyser's Lovers of Hate, and Brian McGuire , who I worked with on Poyser's next project, Love & Air Sex), we've found and locked an incredible desert location: a gleaming airstream trailer sitting on 125 acres of private land in Yucca Valley, not a telephone wire or city light in site, and a 'production hub' house with room to lodge about half our crew to boot! We've locked nearly all of our key crew positions, we've scheduled the film, budgeted it, are currently rehearsing and shotlisting, the whole nine yards. Truly, all that's left now before it all begins... is paying for it all! That's where ya'll come in! I'm sure you're curious just where your money would be going, and I'm happy to fill you in!

Any donations received in this gofundme would go directly toward:

-Paying the cast and crew! This obviously won't occur until we've wrapped shooting but will by far be the greatest overall expense of anything we're undertaking here. While we're not a GIANT set, it ain't tiny neither. Cast and Crew will be somewhere in the 20-25 people range, each wearing multiple hats, as one tends to do on these indie sets.

-All remaining lodging (we're in negotiations to book a block of 10 rooms at the nearby Best Western for all cast and crew that won't be staying on location with us).

-Insurance Fees! General Liability, Film Equipment, Location Insurance, SO FUN!

-Gear rentals! Camera packages, pre-loaded grip trucks, generators to power our gear through the night shoots, a passenger van for easy transport of cast and crew to/from set, and more! There's always more!

-Props and Production Design!

-Meals and Crafty, Catering from day to day.

-And, last but not least, all expenses that go toward our Covid Safety and Compliance with SAG. This means hiring a "Covid Officer" to be on set throughout the entire process, testing our cast every 3 days, our crew every 5, and sanitizing basically everything we touch whenever we touch it.

Now this finally brings me to the TIER LIST for donations! As I'm sure some are aware, there is somewhat of a totem pole when it comes to Producer titles, so I'll lay them out below:

-$1,000+ - ASSOCIATE PRODUCER

-$5,000+ - CO-PRODUCER

-$10,000+ - PRODUCER

-$20,000+ - EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Regardless of your donation level, one thing my MomDucer and I can guarantee is that we'll put together a very snazzy private screening of the final product sometime/somewhere in Austin for all you Texan investors. Whether that be renting a screen at AFS, The Alamo, or the like. It'll be fun! Red carpets! Champagne! Chocolate fountains!

And wouldn't ya know it, that's about all I've got for you at this time. If you'd like any further detail or insight into the budget or anything else regarding this project that I can further explain, or if you'd like to read the script first, PLEASE feel free to reach out to me. I'm absolutely available and excited to hear from anyone and oblige any inquiries! Thank you for your time reading this and thanks so much for your support and encouragement over the years, whether you pony up today or not, that has always meant a lot to me and kept me working and believing and staying on this performer's path.

See you in the "(Zach) Green Room" at Southby!
