For over twenty years, I have been dedicated to celebrating and sharing the artistry behind the world’s finest spirits — telling the stories of passionate distillers, bartenders, and craft producers who elevate our glass and our spirit.
You may know me as the Martini Whisperer.
I have established an international reputation as an independent craft -spirits advocate and communicator, trusted by the distilling industry to tell their stories.
Now, I’m embarking on my most ambitious project yet: Masters of Distilling, a new documentary series that captures the heart and soul of Australia’s distilling scene and the people who make it happen.
This series will shine a spotlight on the passionate and creative people behind the labels — those mastering gin, whisky, rum, vodka, and emerging spirits — and explore the traditions, ecosystems, innovation, and community that make Australian distilling among the finest in the world.
It’s about more than drinks thought— it’s about culture, sustainability, and the passion that define the craft.
Think Grand Designs meets Backroads meets Chefs Table with the same high production values.
But to bring this vision to life, I need your help.
But first, check out the promotional video, and please watch until the end!
You can also watch the pilot 13 minute segment featuring the award winning McHenry Distilling from Tasmania.
Why Your Support Matters
Producing Masters of Distilling requires travel, filming, and post-production resources worthy of the remarkable talent being featured.
Your contributions will help fund:
- Filming across Australia’s most exciting distilleries that will captures the full spectrum of locations, styles and spirits
Professional production and editing with an international audience in mind, filmed at edited by the Emmy award-winning team at Butter Media
- Original music and graphics
- Crew support and storytelling logistics (it is a big country!)
- Every donation helps us give these stories the quality and attention they deserve — and ensures these remarkable craftspeople get the recognition they’ve earned.
I have also undertaken a mentoring program via a US based film and TV incubator, Voyage Media and have an award-winning producer, Jason Chaney, as my supervising producer.
With these key elements in place and a range of talent and locations chosen after years of research, it is time to bring it all to life.
The plan is to film the series, publish on YouTube to gain a wide audience, then we will pitch a full scale production (with significant production and marketing budget to match) to a streaming platform.
