Maui Fire Fundraiser for Heidi Pliszka's Family
Donation protected
Aloha,
I’m creating this fund for the family of my good friend Heidi Pliszka (Probst). She was not only raised in Lahaina, but she is also a part of the Hiyashida/Nakamura family that have lived, worked and built a legacy in Lahaina, Maui for four generations going as far back as the early 1900s.
While Heidi now resides on Oahu, her hometown was devastated by the wildfires. The legacy that is a part of her family’s heritage, the family home and the family business Banyan Inn Marketplace (pictured above), is now gone, burnt to the ground. At this time, her family are accounted for, having safely escaped the fires, but the livelihood of multiple households living in West Maui is gone.
As will be the case for many of their friends and neighbors, they don’t know what the next few days, weeks or months ahead will look like. And the road to rebuild will be long and costly.
Any funds you donate will provide immediate relief for three Probst families impacted, while they figure out how to rebuild their lives. Proceeds will go directly to assist with:
• Near to mid-term housing
• food and medicine
• general living expenses
Your generosity during this difficult time is greatly appreciated.
