PRO Flood Recovery and Disaster Relief

The aftermath of the recent flood has exhausted all resources. What took 5 years to build was wiped out in the matter of a few hours. We have lost a significant amount of our watercraft inventory and our entire building with all of its contents was ripped into a million pieces found all over the river banks and stuck on several bridges downstream. We have always been very proud in all that we do for our community including not only sponsoring Haywood Waterways Association but being a monetary member, we hold two annual river clean ups a year (Polishing Up the Pigeon), we conduct a two day fundraiser for Haywood Rescue annually raising much needed money for search and rescue equipment, we are part of Smokies NC, all in conjunction with our friends at Bearwaters Brewery:Riverside. The precise week that we were hit by this disaster was the week that we were to hold our very first Mental Health and Substance Abuse Awareness fundraiser benefiting Hazelwood Healthcare to assist them in battling this crisis that affects many in our county. We sponsor a child every year and provide the amount of funds that is required for the Bethel Middle School 8th grade trip across the state. We recognize one school in the county every year and provide their staff with a free day on the river to show our support and respect for all they do. We support several of the Pisgah High School Athletic departments and Canton Youth Sports. We support veterans who are homeless and in need of housing, and so much more. We now find ourselves in the dire need of assistance and support from our community and friends. We are a locally owned and operated small business that provides employment for 5 incredible full time employees, some who have families of their own to support and rely on this business to provide.
