Private medical bill - NET Cancer

Hi, my name is Sam

I’m a 44 year old married mum of 3 children ages 21,19 and 12 and I have recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer - Neuroendocrine (NETS). Unfortunately

it is stage 4 and terminal.

As someone who has fundraised over the years for cancer and especially Hospiscare, I am now finding myself needing their help and support but alongside that I also need medical help beyond the NHS.

I am currently undergoing chemotherapy to try and shrink the tumours but alongside that I am desperately wanting to add a certain immunotherapy treatment to boost my immune system and give me a better quality of life. Unfortunately the NHS stopped the certain immunotherapy treatments I need back in 2018 so we have no choice but to go private and this costs thousands of pounds unfortunately.

Hi everyone. Just an update. Go fund set my goal amount based on the rising totals (I’m new to this and don’t totally understand it ). It will be an ongoing fund for the future at the moment as I am unsure how many cycles I will need and unfortunately it is Approx £14000 for the first programme needed. I just wanted to be transparent that I am not raising the goal amount myself. That said , I have spent a lot of time crying over the amount of generous donations I have already received and the support of my friends and community planning fundraisers for my cause. We genuinely appreciate every single penny… If at the end of the fundraiser, there is any amount remaining that I do not personally need for treatments alongside my chemotherapy please rest assured that we will be using that to donate to the rare Neuroendocrine cancer fund to help other families in the same situation.
