Hello, my name is Charles Davidson, also known as Charles "Art" Jerry.

I am a 26-year-old artist from Haiti.

I was born with a hernia and have lived with it my entire life. Recently, my doctors told me the condition now requires urgent surgery. I was supposed to have this procedure several years ago, but due to the insecurity in Haiti and the collapse of our healthcare system, I never had the opportunity.

The large public hospital we once had in Haiti has been destroyed, and I now need to seek private care. After completing all necessary tests, my doctor advised that I schedule surgery as soon as possible to protect my health and future.

Many of you have supported my efforts over the years to help my students and my community. Today, I am asking for help for myself. I need to raise $3,700 to cover the cost of the surgery and recovery care.
