Private ADHD Diagnosis and medication.

This is not something I ever thought I’d be doing, and it does make me feel a little weird asking for help this way, but I really do not know what to do anymore.

Hi, my name is Natalie and I’m fundraising for a private ADHD Diagnosis and medication (if needed)

ADHD is very often unnoticed in Girls and Women as it presents so differently. I always perceived myself as lazy and irritable because I thought it was the only rational reason, that was just who I am.

The depression that came from feeling like a useless member of society was crippling at times, the overthinking is unbearable 80% of the time, trying to ignore intrusive thoughts of how lazy, stupid, useless, angry you are only cements all the negative feelings you have - not only about yourself but the people around you (thinking everyone hates me ALL the time) has ruined many relationships, lost me plenty of jobs, and turned me into a a bit of a hermit.

My mental health is suffering massively. I truly do not believe I can wait 4+ years on the NHS. My GP has already told me that using Right to Choose would make it quicker but they will not under any circumstances accept a shared care agreement which means I would have to pay extortionate amounts for private prescriptions.

I am out of ideas, I cannot afford private health care but I also cannot continue living like this.

Most people know I work within the NHS, but this does not entitle me to any special treatment (I do not expect any, but I think there are assumptions when you work within healthcare)

This is my last attempt at trying to get help sooner.
