Hello,

We are Zoe & Russ, Bødhi’s Parents,

On the 24th March 2023, we woke to every parents nightmare and found our gorgeous boy unresponsive, despite ours & emergency services best efforts we were faced with the reality of losing our sweet boy at only 8months old without any warning and without any reason as to why. No parent ever expects to walk out the hospital with a box of memory items and not their child.

Ever since losing our son, we have made it our mission to try and find ways to support other grieving families and those impacted by loosing a young child. Whether this be through fundraising for specific charities such as SANDs and 4Louis or funding approved sleep monitors for individuals who have approached us with concerns after hearing our journey.

Which leads us onto our new mission, to mark the 3 year anniversary of losing our sweet boy and ahead of his 4th birthday in July, we are Funding a Privacy Pram for the new BEACH Unit at Bournemouth Hospital. This is an item that could provide parents with the ability to walk their own child on their last journey through the hospital, while giving their child complete privacy from onlookers. This option is something as parents we weren’t aware we could do 3 years ago, but would have jumped at the chance of doing in any capacity. And that is why we feel that it’s vital to fundraise for this pram, to allow other parents that option. The Privacy Pram itself is a Ickle Bubba Venus which has been adapted for use, inclusive of specialist liners that comply with NHS infection control guidelines.
