Hi, my name is Maddie and I’m wanting to raise funds to buy a Privacy Pram for Lancashire Women and newborn centre in Burnley.

In January, I gave birth to our beautiful little boy Thomas Christopher Burton. He was born on the 6th January and passed away 5 minutes later. We spent 4 days with Thomas in a cold cot with me, his daddy and brothers and sister making memories as best as we could given the circumstances. We was given the most amazing care and the care they had most importantly for Thomas was amazing. However, on the Friday morning we made the decision that it was time to let Thomas rest in the Chapel of Rest at the Funeral Directors we had chosen. They came and got Thomas at 8pm at night time, however he was carried through the halls with us and the funeral director in a Moses basket with no privacy and dignity.

I am wanting to raise money so that any other family that has to go through what we go through doesn’t have the walk the halls with their baby exposed and with no privacy to people visiting others, other children, and people going outside smoking/ordering their teas etc.

I wish the hospital had a privacy pram that we could’ve used for more privacy for our little baby boy.

This is why I’m wanting to raise money for a privacy Pram to then give to the hospital so they’ve got one for other families.

I’m going to keep this open and try and get enough money to donate 2 privacy prams to 2 different hospitals! If it doesn’t reach the 2nd goal anything else over the 500 will be given to a charity called Derian House who helped us during and after our pregnancy and loss of our beautiful little boy
