Since the beginning of the war, about 5 million people have already fled Ukraine. The Montenegro-based charitable project Pristaniste helps Ukrainian refugees who have been forced to flee their country as a result of invasion by the Russian army, as well as Russians and Belarussians who have left their countries because of their anti-war position.
The project provides temporary housing in Montenegro and helps find permanent housing and employment. It also advises on legalisation and residence permits in Montenegro, provides psychological support, and assists children in getting access to school education. The charity also provides SIM cards and a basic consumer goods basket.
In the last 6 weeks, Pristaniste has helped more than 130 people.
The project provides temporary accommodation for those who have witnessed the horror of war and badly need a safe break to gather the strength to move forward with their lives or to seek to settle in Montenegro.
Approximately 30 families can stay in the charity’s hotels at any one time. The monthly expenses are about 20 thousand euros, mainly for accommodation and legal services.
Please donate and help refugees to survive during war time! Every donation makes a difference!
