Help Priscilla Greece find a home in Athens!

Our mission is to get quality Christian children’s literature into homes across the Greek-speaking world. We want to equip families to be engaging with gospel truths, in Greek, in their homes. We want to produce excellent children’s books and Bibles for parents and carers to read to and with their children. We want to provide resources for the Greek-speaking church to further the work of taking the good news about Jesus to our neighbours.

In the first instance, our plan is to translate into Greek some of the excellent resources available in other languages, through partnership with Christian publishers and ongoing support from believers and churches around the world. Through our publishing house “Sporos” we will produce, promote and sell picture books, story Bibles and related resources. “Sporos” means seed and our prayer is that God will use these books, which seek to communicate the good news about Jesus, as seeds of truth in the lives of the readers, bearing fruit for generations.

In partnership with O Logos publishers, we have already produced translations of The Big Picture Story Bible (Helm/Schoonmaker, Crossway) - Η Μεγάλη Εικόνα, The Friend Who Forgives (DeWitt/Echeverri, The Good Book Company) - Ο Φίλος που Συγχωρεί and Goodbye to Goodbyes (Chandler/Echeverri, The Good Book Company) - Αντίο στα Αντίο. These titles will be transferred to the Sporos brand. 

Sporos continues to work in partnership with The Good Book Company to produce co-editions of some of their children’s titles -we are so grateful for this partnership!

Until now, generous churches and ministries in Athens have offered us space for meetings and book storage. But as we grow, we need a place of our own. We are hoping to buy a small shop that will serve as our office and storage—a permanent home for Sporos Books.

We are looking to raise around €60,000 (approximately US$70,000, £50,000). In a city with very high rents, buying is a wise and lasting investment.
