For the last three years I've put everything - mind, body, spirit - into my home-based candle-making business with the hopes of creating a relaxing environment through scent. This steady intention has helped me create a cohesive line of candles that not only smell really good but are enjoyed by all - yes, men especially are intrigued by how much they like the scents! And it's been such a joy to share my growth with you at local farmers markets, craft fairs, on Etsy and my self-built online shop. And now.. I'm feeling ready for the next leap.

This summer I was accepted to exhibit my full line of candles in New York City at a 3-day summer trade show for wholesale buyers. The show is called Shoppe Object and I'll be face-to-face with stores like Anthropologie, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and others who can reach a much wider audience and put my candles in front of people I might not otherwise ever get a chance to cross paths with. While I feel confident in my ability to talk with new buyers about my candles, affording the space to showcase my brand to them is another story. I'm accustomed to paying $50 - $500 in fees for a booth space at local markets but the wholesale show is so different. With this GoFundMe money I'll be able to rent a 5x3 booth, shelves and a chair and setup right next to some other exciting brands on the market right now.

The show takes place August 10-12, 2019 in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and I'll arrive on the 8th to begin setting up my booth. I'm expecting my shipment of candles and display items to arrive then as well. Fingers crossed.

Your support in this next big step of my business means so much and would allow me to continue growing in ways I can't yet imagine. I'm excited for what's to come and will continue putting my all into every aspect of the process. Yes, it's still a one-woman operation over here.
