Printer Crisis: Help Rebel Oddities Survive
Donation protected
In 2017, I launched Rebel Oddities with the goal of creating handmade items that inspired confidence. It all began with skirts with pockets but was fueled by my passion for graphic design.
For six years, I worked full-time, and then came home to make products for another 10 hours. I sacrificed sleep, food, and any chance at relaxing to make Rebel Oddities thrive. Friends grew used to me constantly carting around products to make and continue to volunteer their time to help me at events around Alaska.
My business sustained the pandemic and in 2023, I was able to step away from my full-time job to pursue my passions. My blood, sweat, tears, and every penny I earn go into the business to help it grow.
Recently, the printer I use to create stickers, make apparel, my signage, and so much more bit the dust. This printer is the lifeblood of my business; I can't make products without it and I can't afford to purchase a new one. I have never been one to ask for help, especially financially. However, without this printer, my business won't survive. I've given everything I have to it and have nothing left, but I'm not ready to give up. I love my work, the people I've met, and the paths I've journeyed.
If I don't order a new machine, I will have to close down my business by the end of the year and the idea of that crushes me. I've tried every avenue to earn enough to pay for it; this is my last resort. Please help.
