Print 2 Help Glasgow and Ayrshire Face Shields

We are a small group of volunteers in and around Glasgow with expertise in 3D printing and design made up of engineers, computer programmers and mechanics among others.  We originally grouped together under ‘Print 2 Help’ to support local people working within our communities.  We wanted to create face shields for those who are not able to obtain adequate supplies of equipment to protect themselves against Covid-19.  These are key workers who need to continue their work during these difficult times such as care homes, health care, and community support workers.  Providing supplies in our local area is our key priority, however we are also starting to collaborate with wider projects carrying our similar work across the country.

Up to this point our group has self funded the creation of these face shields however we have started to see a large increase in demand including discussions with various NHS departments to supply larger quantities.  We are seeking support in order to be able to meet this increasing demand to assist with purchasing materials, packaging and delivery of the shields and to increase production capability with additional 3D printers.  

We would be very appreciative for any donation you could make to help us continue our aim of supporting our local community.  We will provide regular updates on our progress.  Any surplus equipment purchased will be donated to local schools and left over funds to local charities.
