On Saturday 9/12/2015 Randy and Laurie Principe were forced to flee from their new home in the Hidden Valley Lake area of Middletown, as it was quickly being engulfed by the Valley Fire. They only had a 10 minute window to frantically grab what they could in pitch black darkness and no electricity. Luckily, they narrowly escaped their home and  followed a RV out of their rural development which paved a way to safety through 25 foot flames.

They are truly lucky to have their lives but unfortuantley they have lost everything. Their home and all of the contents fell victim to this monsterous fire. Worst of all is the loss of family heirlooms, family recipes and memories such as videos and photos that can never be replaced. 

What makes things even more devastating is that they retired this spring and were living their dream life after working hard for over 30 years. They only moved into their Hidden Valley Lake ranch a mere 6 months ago, and were trying to get settled in.

Anyone who knows Randy and Laurie knows what hard working and honest people they are. They truly have a way of making everyone they encounter feel like part of the family and are always there to help family and friends in their time of need.


This is for the many friends and family who asked if they could send donations. They are currently left with close to zero belongings.  Money will assist them in basic essentials for the weeks to come. Thank you for helping them rebuild their lives.  We value each and everyone of you and appreciate you more than you will ever know!
