Princeton's Health Crisis: Your Help Needed
Donation protected
Hi friends. I am creating this GoFundMe for our 3-year-old boy, Princeton. He woke us up on Saturday morning uncomfortable with what we thought were tummy aches. We monitored him throughout the weekend and decided it was best to bring him to our local vet for X-rays (again, thinking he ate something and had a possible obstruction) first thing Monday morning. The X-rays confirmed he did not have a blockage, but he was severely dehydrated and his liver was “angry.” Our local vet advised us to bring him to Denver to an emergency overnight vet clinic, which we did. After his admission, the ultrasound revealed he indeed did have an angry liver (his liver enzyme levels are over 2000) and that he did not have any obstruction or tumors. This led us to believe that he either has leptospirosis, some other form of infection, or he ingested some sort of toxin. We are continuing to run tests, and he will remain at VRCC until he is more stable to come home.
We’ve already spent $3600 to keep him until 6pm today, and they want another $900 to keep him until 9 am tomorrow, which may also be extended and cost us more. We really hate being this vulnerable and asking for help, but it’s needed. We’re not expecting to recover anything we’ve already spent, we just want to make sure we can continue to treat him and get him healthy and home
We know times are tough for everyone right now. So if you cannot donate, please share. We will do everything we can to get our boy healthy and home again. Thank you for taking the time to read this
