Please Help Save Patches
Donation protected
Patches had a critical life threatening event with laryngeal paralyses and stomach bloat, and was rushed to an emergency pet hospital, Blue Pearl. Her guardian paid them $3300, the 1st day, but her care since then, plus the surgery cost an additional $10,000 and saved her life. She has continued to need additional costly post-op care for 6 weeks after surgery. We are seeking donations to cover the cost of her hospitalization after the 1st day, her surgery and post-op care.
Patches is a Senior Saint Bernard who was rescued as a surrender from her original owner who became too sick to properly care for her. Last March, PAWS (Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society) Long Island took her and made sure her medical and health issues were addressed and she had proper care. She regained a life of a happy Saint Bernard whom everyone around her soon loved. Patches routinely goes to college classes at Northeastern University (she is very popular and is always swarmed by fellow students both before and after class), picnics with New England St Bernard Club, to Blessing of the Animals at Catholic Mass, and quickly bonded with her new guardian and his family. Even as a senior, she has lived a very active and happy life with many outings. Patches has lots of love and deserves the opportunity to continue to live out her golden years to the upmost. Everyone who has met Patches falls in love with her. The darker photo on grey carpet is Patches at time of Rescue last year, the others are in her new life, including the hospital photo. In that one she is wearing the cone because of oxygen canula in her nostrils. the invoice for $3,397 was paid by her guardian at time of hospital admittance and is not sought as part of this fund raising request. The other two invoices are for services from Wednesday 4/11 through Saturday 4/14 and for the surgery. The total for all emergency and post-op services, NOT including the $3300 paid by her guardian at the outset, will be approximately $12,000, and Patches has truly become Her Royal Highness. Patches deeply appreciates all of those who can donate to help her live her golden years in blissful comfort. She is a big 140 lb bundle of love!!! There are additional photos and information in the Updates!
