Recovery of Prince Hezekiah Ali

Hi, My name is Keniesha, I am the mother of Prince-Hezekiah. On Jan 7th 2021, my son, my husband and I suffered a house fire (our electric stove caught fire for NO reason while we were ASLEEP), these past 6 months has been the most traumatizing, stressful time of our lives. By the negligence of the Fire Dept. we did not get the proper help we needed to exit our burning home safely.. Because of this my Son suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 43% of his body (a fire fighter brought him through the blazing kitchen, tripped on "debris" and fell in the fire with my son, then waited in the flames until he and my child was rescued by ANOTHER fire fighter), which also lead to my son needing 1 tube in his nose for feeding and another tube for smoke evacuation, 3 skin grafts, & other surgeries. I suffered deep 2nd degree burns on my shoulders down to the top of my hands, and my Husband suffered from minor burns and a fractured eye socket. While I was stranded on my porch, & waiting for my Husband and child to join me outside. They got trapped in the house, because the front door filled with flames, leaving both trapped after I walked out. NEITHER ONE OF US WERE PROPERLY REMOVED from our home.. The Fire fighters then lied to the news reporters telling them that "we fell asleep cooking, and we just left our son in a burning home to die" AFTER WE TOLD THEM SEVERAL TIMES THAT WE NEVER USED THAT STOVE AT ALL THAT DAY, NOT TO MENTION THE SMOKE ALARMS WERE DEFECTIVE BY THE FAULT OF THE APARTMENT COMPANY & THERE WERE NO FIRE EXTINGUISHERS NEAR BY! Of course you know that lead to more humiliation and trauma, making it 10 times more difficult to for us to properly heal on our own and be supportive to our son during his healing process. Right now we are doing everything we can to keep our family TOGETHER and keep our son confident and HAPPY. Prince is still going to need present & future, necessities as he continues to grow, and heal throughout his life. Even though the Fire has been proven to not be our fault, We are STILL being over looked by HUD, and they have not replaced our home (according to the policy I was under THEY ARE OBLIGATED TO DO SO). They have not been responsive like they should, because of their OWN fears of being tied in a LAW SUIT. Since then we have been totally displaced, we have no real family THAT WE CAN TRUST, and we are living in a homeless shelter. We will need a financial head start to get our lives back on track, whether it be funds to a new SAFE & SANITARY home, transportation, medical expenses, clothes, shoes, supplies, etc. Anything you can give will be a blessing..
