Full circle moment… I am heading back to Zambia!

Those who know me know how important health equity is to me. In med school, I had the privilege of experiencing healthcare on a global scale in Zambia and I always hoped I’d get to share this passion with my residency program one day.

This August, to kick off my final year, that hope is becoming reality as I get to return with a very special person- my mentor Dr. Linu Joseph. We will be hosting primary care clinics across urban and rural communities, and checking in on a women’s crafting road stall I helped launch. For even more excitement, we will be leading research on local women’s health beliefs, comparing it to our own population here at our clinic in Gainesville, Georgia.
